GOOD SHEPHERD TOWER was constructed in 1984. The project was initiated by James Avery French, Kenneth B. Smith, Harry G. Reid, and the Board President Mr. Francis G. Rivers

GOOD SHEPHERD TOWER provides Low Income-Affordable to seniors in Chicago’s Woodlawn Park community.  Located at 55 E. Garfield Blvd, Chicago, Illinois in the 60637. This building has 7 stories with 60 units.

Dr. Kenneth B. Smith

Dr. Kenneth B. Smith was a force on the southside of Chicago serving his community in many capacities. He was instrumental in the formation of Good Shepherd Homes Corporation and the development of its Board of Directors.

CSM Ret. Harry G. Reid

For over 35 years Harry G. Reid served as the Project Manager for Good Shepherd Homes Corporation. From its inception through the recent rehab. Harry provided a steady hand while fostering a family atmosphere at Good Shepherd Homes Corporation.

James Avery French

Renowned Chicago Public Schools educator James Avery French positively affected the lives of thousands of our city’s young people and served as the first General Manager of Good Shepherd Homes Corporation.
